We are asking Foxglove Wind to stop this proposed 46 Vestas V163-4.5 megawatt wind turbine project and to respect the people who live in Christian County, Shelby County, and near the county line of Macon County. This project is planned to be up and running by 2029, and it would stretch through our land, and change the places our families depend on every day.
Our community is coming together because this is not just about turbines on a map. It is about land use, local control, and the future of the area we call home. Large industrial wind projects can bring major changes to farmland, open space, quiet rural roads, and the natural character of a place. Many residents are worried about what this proposal could mean for the land, the views, the peace of the area, and the long-term well-being of our community.
We are collecting signatures to show that people in our community are against this proposed project. We will use this petition to bring our concerns to city officials and to make it clear that we want our land protected. We are asking decision-makers to listen to the people who live here and to put the needs of the community first before allowing this project to move forward.
Our land is more than a place on a developer’s plan. It is where we live, work, raise our families, and build our lives. We deserve a real voice in what happens to it.

Put these turbines up north where the power will be used, it won’t be Shelby County. Prime farmland is scarce, i.e. non renewable. More negatives than positives at great cost to all affected.
We live in the area where this project is proposed. We do not want our family to deal with the negative side effects the wind turbines bring with them. We are also huge proponents of conservation and the research has shown how detrimental these turbines are to the land and wildlife.
I don’t believe industrial development belongs in the middle of valuable wildlife habitat. Our fields, timber, wetlands, and waterways are incredibly important to deer, waterfowl, birds, bats and other wildlife. Habitat loss and disturbance have real consequences, you can’t simply replace what’s been lost. Our wildlife and natural areas are worth protecting, and I don’t believe this project is worth sacrificing them.
We live in the country for peace and quite and the beautiful scenery. If we wanted to see industrial monstrosities, we would live in the city. These wind powered generators will not benefit our community in any appreciable way only degrade our beautiful country.
Do not put wind turbines on our beautiful land.
