Was raised in the north, living here for 22 years now. We need to keep the flag.
I am a descendant of Jefferson Davis this is my heritage please don't take my history down this is what my family has done for the country and has fought for.
Save our confederate heritage to include all flags, statues and monuments, cemitaries in Walton County and the state of Florida
By destroying our historic monuments we are not changing history. We need to preserve our history to help us remember and learn what all our ancestors lived through.
Our heritage is an important part of America history.Its something to be proud of and each and every one of these soldiers,their families and the monuments in their honor SHOULD be protected.
The confederacy is part of our history and people should learn about it. Unfortunately there are groups of people who have a political agenda and want to erase and rewrite American history.

It is ridiculous to try to erase a part of History without erasing everything that ever happened in conjunction with it. Several years ago I made an offer on behalf of my Parents and family (who own where the original Courthouse stood) to return the Monument & the Flag to the original site that it was erected at in Eucheeanna, rather than erasing an important part of History. That offer still stands.
