Please sign this petition to keep Hidden Hills open to serve our community!

Hidden Hills Elementary is a unique school serving a diverse student population. A true neighborhood school, most families walk to our school to attend back to school night, parent teacher conferences and PTA events. The proposal to close Hidden Hills would leave many families no longer supported or engaged in our community and unable to attend events at their new school location.

Hidden Hills hosts several state funded preschools, 2 autistic preschool programs and K - 5 education for our student population. Hidden Hills offers many services from after school computer lab access, homework club, robotics club, breakfast bunch and reading interventions.

Hidden Hills is facing closure to house Community Roots Academy, a charter school currently sharing the Wood Canyon Elementary campus in Aliso Viejo.

Please stand with our community to save our school!!

I was checking the list just now and my heart started racing because the count is ticking up fast toward that one thousand mark and it really feels like someone might actually pay attention if we just keep pushing. If you know someone who lives near the school or has a kid who needs those programs please just send them the link right now because I really think we can hit this total by tonight if everyone just grabs one person who cares.

I was just looking at the total and we are basically right on the edge of that hundred mark which is wild considering how fast this all happened. It feels like the right moment to get this into a few more group chats because the school board is definitely looking at the paper trail we are leaving right now. If we can just break through this current barrier before the afternoon hits I think it shows we are not going anywhere.

@Ty Murphy...your question of whether our student's with the greatest need will be served by Community Roots Academy? A BIG NO! They have a 'waiting list' and our children are not on it. Looks like legal segregation to me!

The impact of displacing the local students not to mention the major traffic implications for the community have not been throughly researched by the Board. Hidden HIlls should not even be in this discussion that has been going on since May and HH was only added in the 9th hour!

We just started attending the learning link there and I am very impressed with the staff that are present to help my son. Closing this school would be a disservice to the community and to the teachers who are constantly struggling with less.

Busing children due to school closure would be unfair. Cappo School District needs to leave this school alone. The YMCA also operates a before and after school program for children attending this school. Closing this school would also cause lost jobs. Leave this school alone!

We need to keep this school open! The teachers are great and the parents and neighborhood loves the school, and just think how horribly over crowded George White and Crown Valley will be if it closes! Out school district will go down in testing and quality so fast!!

This is an AMAZING school where family actually walk to school together!!! It is truly a neighborhood school where kids that go to school together play together after school, creating a community! We need more of these schools....not fewer!

I'm a first-year student at Hidden Hills Elementary my name was on the handball court LOL but yeah I went all five years and I'm a proud member of the community being raised by a single mother and Windridge Apartments and living next to my school, what a wonderful experience and part of my life that was there.
