We want the development proposal appeal by ECV to be rejected. This proposal would irrevocably damage Beckford. Residents, visitors, walkers, cyclists and neighbouring villagers would all suffer and see their amenity reduced. The Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the wildlife now flourishing would all suffer.

We see no need for this development. It must be stopped.

I'm only just learning of this proposal but can't see how it benefits the local community. I fully appreciate the need for appropriate housing for older people, but developments shouldn't be approved if they are detrimental to a local community, especially in concern of the environment and flooding which frequently blights Beckford.

Interesting that vale wildlife will be given funding for an education centre in return for allowing their land to be built on. Vale wildlife rescue, that are Trying to protect our wildlife yet will allow a huge site to be built on destroying many habitats? Eg. All the deer that graze that land.

Revised plans show encroachment closer to existing dwellings, and ruination of land with wildlife conservation value, rather than leaving wooded areas as a natural breaker. Development is still FAR too large.

Doubling the size of Beckford Village for nothing more than financial gain is an outrage. This is nothing more than a speculative investment masquerading under the heading of a much needed Care Home when locally many of those already in existence do not have full occupancy.

Having only moved to this stunning village nearly two years ago, the thought of it being ruined by an oversized development fills me with absolute dread. This must be stopped so that residents and visitors alike can continue to enjoy it.

Speculative development, absolutely shameful. The loss of stunning protected countryside and dark starry sky's with light pollution will never be seen by future generations.

Just looking at this, it seems the addition of such a building would be incongruous within the context. Surely there are better places, more suitable to take the extra load of people and services that such a development would bring. What provisions are in place to cope with the extra volume of traffic and residents, has this been considered. Where do the people who are profitting from this venture live?

We often visit family in Beckford and always make time to go for a walk and enjoy the area, would be terrible to see the AONB and surrounds degraded.
