A developer is proposing to build 89 homes in a green field site in a semi-rural area outside the housing development boundary in Peasedown St John.
Residents Protecting Peasedown is a community group formed especially to campaign against this and further large housing developments in the village, and the protection of our remaining green spaces.
The views of the local community must be properly heard and taken into consideration during any decision-making process.
The best way to make that happen is to request that any planning application be put before BANES Development Control Committee.

We, the undersigned, have grave concerns about the sustainability and impact of the proposed housing development on Greenlands Fields. We call on our elected representatives to ensure our views are fully heard and properly considered - and we request that any planning application is put before Bath & North East Somerset Council's Development Control Committee.

I was just out walking past the fields again and it honestly feels like every single person I run into has a new worry about the traffic or the school capacity if these houses actually go through. It is exhausting but also strangely motivating to see how much people really do care about these green spaces even if the planning process feels like this big opaque wall we are all just shouting at. I am currently trying to get a straight answer out of the council about the next steps for the committee meeting which is easier said than done but I promise I am on it.

The roads round here cant take any more traffic as it is. Its already a nightmare at school drop off time.

This will ruin the views and destroy local wildlife. Stop the developers before its too late.

Leave our green spaces alone. We have enough empty houses in the city already why build on the fields?

Totally disagree with this plan. The infrastructure just isnt there.

Glad someone is doing something about this. We moved here for the countryside not to be surrounded by concrete.

Ridiculous idea. Peasedown is getting way to big and losing its village feel. No more houses!!!
