We ask West Northants Council to refuse planning application WNS/2022/0673/MAF for 58 houses on land off Beech Lane, Kislingbury.
This development would place a large number of homes on a quiet lane that was never meant to carry this much extra traffic, activity, and pressure. Beech Lane is part of the character of Kislingbury, and many local people are deeply concerned that building here would change the area in a way that is hard to undo.
The application affects more than one road. It would have a major impact on the village as a whole, putting added strain on the local environment, the feel of the community, and the everyday lives of the people who live here. Once land like this is built on, the loss is lasting.
Kislingbury is opposing this development on numerous grounds, and those concerns can be seen on the application. The planning process should protect villages like ours from developments that are too large for the place they are meant to sit in.

There is already problems with flooding and drain issues when there is heavy rainfall that have not been addressed. The bridge over the river is being repaired due to damage from the large traffic flow through the village on an hourly basis. The village has only one shop with only limited parking outside n parking in general throughout the village is an issue. To add more traffic/housing can only make a bad situation worse., unless it comes with the guarantee that all these issues will be fixed
Another piece of beautiful quite country village swallowed up, no extra schooling, Drs surgery or basic amenities and the small bridge that’s old and would need repairs, oh yes and flooding.
Kislingbury is a small village and Beech lane is adjacent to the playground and multiple Sports clubs so should be left untouched for all to enjoy
This development is on heritage land which is ridge and forrow, and the developers want to take over the historic byway lane and turn it into a two way traffic road for his own profit. This is the only safe lane in the village with no traffic, that can be used by pedestrians, dog walkers, cyclists and horse riders away from busy roads. It links the village to the country park and to Pineham making it safe for people not just from Kislingbury, but from other areas. The is a wildlife area too,
I have lived in kislingbury for over 30 years and believe this development is not suitable due to flooding and the infrastructure is not there to accommodate this amount of properties
To keep the conservation area intact
As well as the formation increased flood risk; beech lane is a small road which we use regularly to walk to the village park and other amenities. Making this area busier would limit the children's freedom with making their own way around the village due to increasing traffic in this area of the village. Camp lane houses active working farm and related traffic which would be impeded by construction and further housing. It's a well trod dog walking path and would significantly impact village life.

I do not want this new build, as it nice for walker, also it help to take some of the flood water away, before it hit the village, As I know from storm in 2024 where we were flooded,
