The leisure club is currently operating a system of exclusive use from Monday-Thursday, where only 9 one-hour slots per day are available to book. This means that just 36 households out of 225 can access the leisure club during the week. It's an incredibly inefficient system: each hourly slot includes changing time, which means the pool, sauna and steam room are entirely out of use. Moreover, most households will not use both pool and sauna at the same time, meaning half of the leisure club will be unoccupied for most of the day/evening.
Covid-19 restrictions in the UK were entirely lifted in March 2022, more than 8 months ago. As we head into a winter where many of us will struggle to pay our own heating bills, how can we, as a collective group of residents, justify paying for the enormous running costs of the leisure club, whilst barring the majority of residents from accessing it when they would like to?
This petition is a proposal to the directors to remove the Covid restrictions from the leisure club, allowing residents to enjoy it as and when they would like to during its normal opening hours. I have been hearing from so many of you who are tired of paying for facilities you cannot even use. We are currently preparing a formal letter to the board to show them just how much this exclusive policy is affecting our community.

Seeing so many of my neighbors speak up has been overwhelming because this space belongs to all of us. I truly did not expect this level of agreement when I first hit publish. It is clear now that keeping our leisure club behind these restrictive barriers makes no sense for the people who actually live here.

As a paying member for the RHP we should have free access to all facilities without booking as we did pre covid. There is no legal requirements to keep booking in place, its ridiculous and I'm not getting my value from the leisure club.
Agree that we need full access to the leisure club and all the facilities. It is difficult to get a spot at the swimming pool during the week; it is always fully booked. It is also astonishing that the gym has been closed for so long without any clear idea of when it will operate again.
17 Galton House Totally unreasonable that we still have COVID restrictions well over a year the Government lifted everything. I can cross an international border without having any restrictions, but can't use the leisure club at my home that I pay for during normal operating hours? Madness. Long overdue for this policy to change back to the original hours and operations.
Government restrictions haven’t been In place for some time now. Why are RHP restrictions still in place? Odd.
Unforgivable delays and grossly unfair to continue to charging for the last 3 years for zero facilities. Also abhorrent that leaseholders have withheld monies charged to tenants when they’ve been afforded discounts. Feel strongly that earlier opening hours for both gym and pool are not only overdue but vital to the well-being if all at RHP. Thanks for setting this up.

It’s about time now I work 5 days I commute I eat in restaurants Drink in bars Get home and I should be entitled to what I pay for Booking is a nonsense
