This petition is to make all equipment in The Potpourri gym available to residents who want and need to use them.
It is not acceptable that the usage of the gym is limited to only the treadmills and cycling machines, because some of the committee members feel uncomfortable.
The reasoning given that sweat droplets and lack of ventilation is not solid. If someone runs 60 mins on a treadmill, there will be more sweat droplets around than for someone who runs 10 minutes and uses the free weights thereafter. Our gym windows are also designed to be opened, therefore ventilation is not an excuse. Cleaners do not have to come in every hour as well as our gym is not usually packed and we can certainly be responsible enough for our own usage.
If someone is uncomfortable using other machines and free weights, then stay away from them or stay away from the gym.
For everybody else, it will be our own decision to use the gym with all the equipment available. If you agree, then please support this petition.

I have been reviewing the feedback regarding the current gym restrictions and notice a consistent frustration among the residents. It is clear that the existing policy lacks a logical basis for limiting our access to the available equipment. I am currently preparing a formal proposal for the committee to address these concerns directly.

Good evening , by law we r allowed to use full equipment with SOP , please let us use . we paid management fees too
Should already be open, management is purely trying to save money by not funding cleaning products.
I really feel that we should be allowed full access of the gym facilities, especially since all gyms nationwide are allowed to be reopened !

Residents should be given the choice. Tired of being treated like kids by our JMC. Purchased the potpourri for its superior facilities, can’t seem to use most of them now. Covid is here to stay and it’s time we get used to it. It’s our responsibility to stay safe!
