This petition is to demand the name of our Municipality "Nouvelle Arcadie" be changed and to have a legitimate, legal vote by ballot for a new name.

As you may have heard, the vote that was used to decide on the name “Nouvelle Arcadie” for our municipality was heavily diverted. The voting system used was NOT regulated and we were made aware that someone was able to vote more than 100 times, 1 hour before the vote closed, for the name Novelle Arcadie. That is unacceptable and it is not a legitimate or legal way to vote. We are asking the municipality to change its name, because it is not a name that is appropriate for a community, and we are asking them to hold a new vote with better name options.

Le système de vote utilisé n’était PAS réglementé et nous avons été informés que quelqu’un pouvait voter plus de 100 fois, 1 heure avant la fermeture du vote, pour le nom Novelle Arcadie. C’est inacceptable et ce n’est pas une façon légitime ou légale de voter. On demande à la municipalité de changer son nom, parce que ce n’est pas un nom qui convient à une communauté, et on lui demande d’en avoir un vote nouveau avec de meilleures options de noms.
