NEW FESTIVAL VISION:
We are a dance school - Les Ateliers Turcotte, located at 6111 Monkland Ave, in NDG, Montreal, Quebec - www.latmontreal.dance.
It is our opinion that these events can be very beneficial for NDG merchants and their businesses, as well as being a phenomenal performance opportunity platform for all local artists (such as dance, theatre, circus, gymnastics, visual arts, martial arts and music etc). We also believe this could provide a great platform and improved visibility for community clubs and multi-cultural organizations!

Please keep monkland festival!! We go every year and truly love it. We even found the amazing dance studio my daughter attends thru this festival- if not for that we wouldn't have even known them.
I have worked at the festival for the past 3 years and I also live right on Monkland (H4a1g1). Not only are the festivals fun but they bring so much business to the local shops. Please, please, please bring them back. It's the highlight of our summer!!!
I enjoy the festivals. Lots of fun for the residents of NDG and good for the merchants (although there are perhaps too many outside businesses that participate). If the noise is done by 10/11 pm and limited to weekends, I have no problem with these festivals!
I follow some of the consensus here that it would be nice to have the festival evolve to be community, local, artisan, arts, creative based. There's so many of these types of people in NDG and it would be excellent to have a fest to highlight and showcase this hotbed of talent.
I live less than a block from Monkland -- so I definitely hear and feel the street fest. However I still support the street fest as a venue to promote Monkland and NDG businesses: food, merchants, arts etc.

Very sad that the minority decided for the majority. Most people don't have time to go and vote at the city council. Looking forward to get the festivals back.

These festivals are what I can "brag" against my friends living in Le Plateau. It's one of the thing I was the most excited about in summertime at NDG. Please don't take that away!!!
