***THIS PETITION IS NOW CLOSED FOR NEW SIGNATURES***

The petition has now been downloaded and is being scheduled to be presented at City Hall by London Assembly Member Thomas Turrell. As such, we cannot accept any new signatures at this time. We will keep people updated on progress.

We the undersign calI on the Mayor of London as Chair Of Transport for London to restore the 138 bus timetable to the previous timetable of one bus per 20 minutes instead of every half an hour.

The 138 is a popular and well used service. Many school children use the bus to get to school. The new frequency means this bus either gets pupils to school either too late or too early. The bus timetable should adequately reflect the travel demand of passengers which this simply does not.

The loss of service throughout the day will have a huge impact on elderly people, making it more difficult to get to Hayes and Bromley.

The lack of consultation from Transport for London has meant that local bus users were not able to voice these concerns abiut the impact prior to the change in service.

This change contradicts the pledge to improve bus services in Greater London following the expansion of the Ultra Low Emissions Zone

We call on the Mayor of London to reverse this change and reinstate the 138 every twenty minutes.

Best wishes,

Cllr Josh Coldspring-White, Cllr Alexa Michael and Cllr Thomas Turrell AM

Reaching this point has been a struggle and frankly I have been running on fumes for weeks. Seeing the momentum shift feels like a genuine turning point in a fight that felt ignored for far too long.

This bus is integral to our community. Especially our young ppl who rely on the bus for school / Bromley services. The safety aspect of knowing your child Is not having to walk up dark, unlit country roads in Coney Hall is and will always be paramount

I am over 80 years old, I live on the Coney Hall Estate, and rely on the 138 bus to get to Bromley. Cutting the number of buses per hour makes waits for buses even longer, and this is outrageous, particularly during winter months.

So many people will be affected in getting to work at school, I will be heavily effected as I will need to do a 40 minute walk in the cold and dark and i will be late effecting my duty if care to the vulnerable and elderly

I use the 138 most days. It hasn't been particularly reliable as it is and reducing the frequency has already proven to be detrimental to me both in trying to meet the associated train in the morning and getting home after a very long day at work.

This is a vital service for residents of Coney Hall, young and old. Reducing the timetable will encourage people to use their cars which has an environmental impact. Also this affects the more vulnerable people as they are restricted in getting out and about.

This bus service is vital for all who use it school, children, the elderly in a very hilly area who otherwise may struggle to get out, commuters travelling to from work,. With ulez now in action in our area it’s not fair to now cut bus services we’ve been forced into using.
