Started by Cityfields Residents 2 years, 10 months ago

We, the concerned residents of Bellway Cityfields, have come together to address the pressing issue of unfinished construction work in our community. Our neighbourhood has been marred by several areas requiring immediate attention:

Road Surfacing: Numerous sections of our roads are in disrepair and in unfinished states, creating hazards for both motorists and pedestrians. Potholes and uneven surfaces demand immediate rectification for the safety and convenience of everyone living here. With winter setting in, the conditions are only going to worsen. Several residents have also experienced damage to their vehicles as a result of the poor condition of the roads around the development.

Unfinished Areas After Underground Pipe Works: There are various locations across the estate where underground pipe works have been revisited, leaving areas in a state of disarray. These areas must be restored to their original condition, enhancing the overall aesthetics of our neighbourhood.

Removal of Site Compound: The lingering site compound serves as an eyesore to not only our neighbourhood but the wider community passing by. It is also a safety concern due to the limited visibility entering and exiting the estate. It is essential that this unsightly compound is removed promptly, allowing us to enjoy the investment we have all made.

Landscaping Completion: Our community's landscaping remains incomplete, affecting the visual appeal and quality of life for residents. We demand that the landscaping work be finished to allow residents to enjoy what was promised.

Missing Road Signs: The absence of road signs poses a significant safety concern for both drivers and pedestrians. Proper road signage is essential for the smooth functioning of our neighbourhood for both deliveries and visitors. There are numerous streets within the estate that do not have road signage, including but not limited to Stanley Hall Drive, Stanley Hall Close & Ferry Mews

Street Lighting: Adequate street lighting is paramount for our safety, especially during the dark winter months. We call for the immediate installation or repair of street lighting fixtures to ensure our streets are well-lit and secure.

We, the undersigned residents of Bellway Cityfields, urge Bellway as the main contractor to prioritise these essential tasks and complete them before Christmas.

We believe that addressing these issues promptly will not only enhance the quality of life for all residents but also uphold the commitment to excellence that Bellway initially promised as a 5 Star Builder.

Should Bellway not complete the development before Christmas, we the undersigned will have no other option but to take this matter to the local and national press to leverage their reach.

It isn't acceptable to leave the roads and communal areas in the state that they are in. There are missing bricks in the road - and alsl now large clumps of grass growing between the bricks that have been laid. It shows they've not been put down properly and sealed in the first place. There are just holes filled with material or asphalt, rather than paved correctly.

Site left in disarray Taken the money from all of us and now work moving at a snails pace using third party contractors to patch up shoddy work Playground for example is an absolute eyesore A few logs and a tilting ride ? A park ??? Not to mention the un even surface that’s been laid down No road signs for most streets No surfacing on the road leading up to Stanley hall drive from aberford road and no communication what so ever

I cracked my front near side alloy wheel on the speed bump outside the house due to the severity of the steepness

The "park" area needs to be remodeled to actually resemble a play area as opposed to some tree trunks just cut up and put in the ground.

These outstanding works have been an issue now for over 6months, unfinished roads have damaged my car and the compound on the corner has nearly caused a serious accident with fast oncoming traffic with visibility hindered by the heras fencing. Many items in the post have gone missing with the lack of road names which is very inconvenient.
