the council just ruled against the efail estates proposal and we actually won. im seriously blown away by how everyone stuck with this until the end because it really paid off. keep your eyes peeled for any future plans but for now we can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Final supporters
We, the undersigned, urge Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council to refuse planning permission for Efail Estates' proposed 150 house development at Cwm Uchaf Farm in Efail Isaf.
Given that the proposed development is outside the settlement boundary and located in the countryside, we believe that it will have a detrimental effect on the environment and see the erosion of a Special Landscape Area. We are also extremely concerned that it is a proposal that is not included within the County Borough's Local Development Plan, and had previously been rejected for inclusion.
We believe that it will put further undue pressure on the area's highway infrastructure, the area's local Welsh and English language primary schools, and, most important of all, lacks sustainability.

We live in the village (very close to the proposed site) and have 3 small children. We are seriously concerned that the huge amount of extra traffic visiting the proposed site represents a safety issue for the children.
I urge the Local Authority to refuse the application as it has done so in the past. The plan is not new but one submitted in the past which the Local Authority has previously rejected.
Destro Efail ISaf village character Of the three main routes into Efail Isaf,2 are substandard Poor access to schools ,parents will have to rely on vehicular access Very limited public transport Very significant ecological impact
I object to this proposal due to the fact that this area is not included in the local development plan, is an area of scientific interest and is in the countryside. Further more, the impact on highways, schools and other facilities should result in this objection being over ruled.
Village roads cannot cope with extra traffic. Ffordd-y-Capel narrow and partially single lane and the old railway bridge at Heol Dowlais also narrow with no paving for pedestrians. Site is an area of countryside and a perimeter to the Village envelope boundary
The proposed development is far too large. It will place increased pressure on roads and services.
The infrastructure is over stretched now as it is without adding any extra to it. The way the area is being built up is ludicrous with no thought gone into it.

This proposal is obviously unsustainable and too substantial. This is a small village and will not cope with the additional demands on the already stretched infrastructure. I also think it's clear that this proposal will have a significantly adverse affect on the existing wildlife habitat.
