We the
undersigned, object to the proposals to build over 350 new residential
properties, supermarket and industrial units on the green fields at
Landgate-Bryn near Wigan. We believe that there will be an unacceptable impact
on our community’s infrastructure such as schools, medical access and
significant increase in traffic problems. This area is of great importance to
local residents and its destruction will deprive local people of an area of natural
beauty.
We
support the campaign to stop the Landgate-Bryn development and call on
developers ‘Greenbank’s’ to withdraw their application and Wigan council to
oppose the destruction of this green field site.
This area of natural beauty must not be destroyed for the sake of corporate greed as it supports an abundance of wildlife and is the last bit of greenfield in bryn .there is also the potential problem of flooding and pollution of local waterways and increased traffic pollution which is already well above the legal limit
