“We the undersigned call on EHDC to Refuse planning permission for the Causeway/Henderson development on the grounds that it is unrealistic and undeliverable. EHDC council should consider carefully the effects of such an ambitious and potentially damaging proposal on Bishops Stortford as a market town, its  historic views, the surrounding existing retail businesses, the impact on an already failing road and parking infrastructure during and after the build and the proposed loss of ground level parking and the community church hall”.

The council has not responded to our concerns yet but we are keeping the pressure on them. Email your ward representative today to demand they stop the Henderson development. Post this link on your Facebook page and tell your neighbors why our town character is worth protecting.

The momentum behind this opposition is undeniable and it proves that our community refuses to let this development destroy our town centre. Call your local councillor today and demand that they vote to refuse this planning application.

Nobody in Bishops Stortford wants this development unless they are gaining financially. The town is being ruined by outside interests

LEAVE OUR TOWN ALONE! We dont need more ugly buildings ruining the view. Stortford will be gridlocked for years if this goes ahead.

Too many high rises changing the character of the place. Keep things as they are before the heart of the town is totally gone.

Ridiculous to suggest we lose the church hall. Proper community spaces are disappearing fast enough as it is.

The traffic is bad enough already without adding more flats. This plan is just ridiculous.
