Final supporters
We, the undersigned, stand in support and agreement with the complaints filed by Nancy King with the Ohio Department of Commerce concerning Resthaven Memory Garden Cemetery. We seek to have immediate and comprehensive action taken to improve the deplorable conditions of the cemetery, which include the following: inaccessibility of gravesites due to flooding and muddy conditions, stench in the mausoleum, broken and sunken headstones, heavy equipment damage to the grounds and to headstones caused by driving over them, lack of proper and consistent general maintenance, lack of action taken when complaints are made, unfinished work orders, and uncaring/unresponsive customer service. These issues have caused significant decline in the condition of the cemetery, and considerable emotional stress on loved ones, family members, plot owners, and the community. The deplorable conditions have been featured on local news programs dating back several years. There have been repeated promises for improvements made by management for years, but no significant change has occurred.

This is not a result of heavy rains this year. This problem has been ongoing for at least 5 years and you have been made aware of it. I feel like I need a canoe to reach my brother in law's grave every Memorial Day Weekend. Have some respect.
I have a son, grandson and brother-in-law buried at Resthaven and you have to wear rubber boots to get to the graves. My son's headstone was completely covered in leaves, on his birthday March 6th. Always so much mud and water. Disgusting
Families have spent thousands of dollars to put their loved ones to rest and this is how they are treated. I understand this is a business too, in my opinion this organization is not delivering on the service(s) their customers are purchasing. This is disgraceful.
My husbands grave is there, but my name is also on the headstone. So I will eventually be there also. Looks like I made a huge mistake when my husband passed. His parents were there so it seemed like a good thing at the time.
People who bought plots intended to be buried in a pleasant, serene, well-cared for cemetery. I’m sure they never considered the current conditions of Resthaven when they spent their hard earned money on plots. My parents & grandparents are buried there.
My father's plot is sinking and needs repair; they are trying to charge me.
My parents, grandparents and my husband are all under water at Resthaven Cemetery in Avon Ohio. We paid for perpetual care and are devastated by the conditions of our loved ones grave sites. The state of Ohio and City of Avon must push for the care of the families buried there. They should be fined thousands of dollars a day for their negligence

My sister, Patricia Brooks, was laid to rest in Resthaven in 2003. The ground stays muddy or saturated and most times we are not able to get to her grave. I have been to her grave and the marker was totally underwater. This problem needs to be fixed.
