SomerFit's facilities provides services for families, local swim teams and individual athletes with their indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Additionally, and of greater importance, SomerFit provides access to water therapy - an excellent form of exercise for the elderly, handicapped, and patients recovering from injuries. For a city the size of Somerset, it's both embarrassing and shameful that the city is unable to put forth the funding in order to provide these services for our citizens. Our citizens deserve better than this! SIGN THIS PETITION IF YOU SUPPORT THE CITY IN INVESTING THE NECESSARY FUNDING IN ORDER TO REPAIR AND REOPEN OUR POOLS.

The pools are such an asset to this facility, and i know our family would benefit greatly. The option to be able to have swim classes with living so close to the lake is huge . Water saftey is important. Also so many need the low impact work outs that the water and pools offer. Please save the pools!

I am currently having to drive my daughter to Russell springs twice daily in order for her to swim on a swim team. We may have to look at transferring schools from Somerset to Russell springs if our local pool isn't fixed in order for her to be able to swim on a school swim team.

With 65000 people that live in somerset we are the only city that I have live in that doesn't have a indoor pool year round. Also with a 12 million dollar Recc building new city vehicles maybe the city has forgotten about where the money is really for

We need another pool in this town. I won't take my grandkids to lake water if I can't see what's in water not getting in. Somersplash is too expensive for me to take 5 grandkids & it's so crowded. I loved going to YMCA OUTDOOR POOL wasn't so big I couldn't sit & watch my grandkids. Please bring it back!

My disabled son used the indoor pool for therapy and outdoor pool which he loved so much for exercise. Now he has no where to swim where I can easily keep an eye on him and not have to worry about him getting to deep since I am not a very good swimmer myself. So sad
