We, the undersigned, hereby petition Mayor Reed and the City Council of San Jose to fund the aquatics program at the Camden Community Center. These programs service the wider community with an invaluable health and leisure resource. The pool provides opportunities for all ages and activities. Children learn how to swim, triathletes train, synchronized swimmers practice, lap swimmers and the physically handicapped exercise, seniors citizens and people with health issues participant in water aerobics. For many of us the closure of the Camden Community Center pool will create a major hardship and diminish our quality of life. We are asking you to please reconsider your decision to close the Camden Community Center aquatics program.
