There is no other facility available for seniors/handicapped/children in this area. The pool at Marshall Whit is the only one in the area that is relatively easy for the elderly and handicapped to enter.
The pool is used for:
- Water Aerobics 50-60 people MWF
- Swim lessons
- Lap swimming
- Kayak classes
- Open swimming
- Preparation for and recuperation from surgery
- Etc.

The feedback regarding the importance of the Marshall White Center pool confirms how vital this resource is for our community members who rely on it for health and rehabilitation. I am currently organizing the documentation to ensure that our message is clear when we present these signatures to the Ogden City Council.

I learned how to swim and dive at Marshal White it was our place to grow up at. Learned how to box, play basketball, baseball, and football. Let’s keep it open for the neighborhood kids.
This pool is a life saver to many! Before my husband’s health got worse we went 3 times a week. We look forward to when he is able again to get into the water and just walk laps. This is what the doctor wants for him as well. Please consider the need to repair/reconstruct the pool as a vital asset for the community! Thank you for your consideration.
We seniors depend on MW pool for exercise. I go to water aerobics 3 days a week. Being disabled and on a tight budget, I am able to afford to go and the pool is kept at a comfortable temperature for me to exercise to keep me moving. I've been going to use the pool for about 5 years. I just can't imagine not being able to go back swimming.
Please fund the repair of the Marshall White pool. I was in a wheel chair until I started working out in the pool. Without this exercise I will be back in a wheel chair.
I use the pool three times a week to keep healthy. My fellow swimmers have become great friends. There is not another pool that would be as reasonable in price and accessible to some of our disabled.
We are not giving up. Ogden city needs a community pool. If Ogden is this great city...wheres our pool. Replace and rebuild a pool for our community. Its was an asset to our community. For the children that cant afford to go elsewhere. For the seniors...it only makes sense to have a Marshal White Community pool. Make Ogden great again.

Ogden hardly has any pools as it is. Especially ones that are affordable for those of us who are low income. My kids.go here every weekend. Please save our community pool.
