The undersigned players, parents, alumni, of the OCP Warriors Football Program, respectfully submit this petition to request reconsideration of the decision to remove Coach James Lynch from his coaching position.

Coach Lynch has played a vital role in building the Warriors program into what it is today. His leadership has extended far beyond the football field, positively impacting the lives of student-athletes through mentorship, discipline, and accountability.

During his time with the OCP Warriors, he has consistently demonstrated:

Commitment to developing young men both athletically and spiritually

Leadership that promotes teamwork, discipline, and resilience

A strong investment in player growth, character, and success on and off the field

Dedication to the program, community, and Warrior culture

While we understand concerns regarding language and maintaining a Christ-centered environment, we also believe in grace, growth, and accountability. The situation involving inappropriate language should be addressed constructively, but it should not overshadow the positive impact Coach Lynch has made.

Coach Lynch has:

Built strong relationships with players and families

Created a culture of hard work, brotherhood, and accountability

Helped shape student-athletes into disciplined and respectful young men

We believe his removal is not in the best interest of the team or program. Instead, we support appropriate corrective actions, guidance, and accountability measures that allow him to continue leading while upholding the values of Orlando Christian Prep.

We respectfully request that OCP leadership reconsider this decision and reinstate Coach Lynch. The sudden firing has created confusion, frustration, and emotional stress for players.

These coaches provided structure, discipline, and mentorship beyond football. Many players rely on them for guidance, accountability, and support.

His leadership matters. His impact is real. And his presence is important to the continued success and development of the OCP Warriors.

Coach Lynch is the GLUE to the OCP football program. He is the “constant” in these boys lives & someone who pours into them DAILY, more than anyone else on the staff. He’s more than a coach to them — Coach Lynch is a mentor, their source of encouragement, the person they go to for advice on the field & in their personal lives. Losing Coach Lynch is not only detrimental to the Warrior program, but especially devastating to the boys who have committed to the Warrior program. As Christians, we preach forgiveness & we teach grace, as we look to God daily in our own lives. We all make mistakes, we are not perfect. I ask that you reconsider your decision to remove Coach Lynch from the Warrior staff for the sake of the boys who’ve committed to OCP for both their academic & football careers.

Coach Lynch is the one that helped influence my decision to bring my son Elijah “Tank” to OCP for his junior year. If Coach Lynch will no longer be a part of the OCP community than I will have to seriously reconsider my decision as I know that it would have been his leadership and mentorship that would have helped my son succeed not only athletically but also academically.

I can’t lose my coach. He believes in us and fights for us every day. He was the only coach that helped me recover when I tore my meniscus and took time every day to rehab my knee. Love you Coach!

We believe in grace and in second chances. If he is let go then OCP is no better than what the world shows and is not setting an example to these young men. The morale of the team is down and it was not wise to do this as the team is coming up their spring game.

He was my sons first coach and pulled so much out of him. He doesn’t just support them on the field but off the field as well. He pulled out my son’s potential on the field, gave him a way out with something to look forward to. Coach Lunch insulted discipline in him that he uses in every day life

Coach Lynch and Coach Mel have Invested countless unpaid hours into the program and development of the boys. Built a strong culture of brotherhood and accountability and Helped develop players on and off the field. Their influence extends beyond wins/losses—this is about character development. The sudden firing has created confusion, frustration, and emotional stress for players. These coaches provided structure, discipline, and mentorship beyond football. Many players rely on them for guidance, accountability, and support. We are here as unified parents, focused on what’s best for our student-athletes. Our goal is not conflict, but clarity, fairness, and the well-being of our children.

Ephesians 4:32: "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you". May grace be upon you all including Coach Lynch
