It has been brought to our attention as players and EC Family that Our Head Coach, now our “former” Head Coach Brian Lewis Jr. Has been let go, Yet again another coach released by our Athletic Department and or Administrators , For us Junior's Going into our senior year this will be our 4th coach in 4 Years and we are tired of it. We are constantly going through a rebuild and us players are caught in the middle of it. And we come in Hope for change, The right change. Not the firing Coach’s change. but a change in the athletic department and or Administration with how they handle things and how they constantly Point the Finger at the New Coach’s, when In fact Coach Brian Lewis Jr. was not a bad coach but instead was dealt a bad hand with only 7-8 months as the Head Football Coach. So we as the players the Foundation to this program all come to get together and make a stand for Head Coach Brian Lewis Jr. A great coach and great man who not only taught us A lot on the field but off the field, we all grew so much as a team. This 2024-25 season was the closest the team has ever been, it wasn’t a team it was a family. and that was because of Coach Brian Lewis Jr. when he got here he had to pick up broken pieces from a broken team. with only a handful of players falling short of Grades, Academics were solid. And as an Academic Strong school that should speak volumes. Considering previous years grade problems. So if you want change and you are tired and exhausted of the same Cycle of Hire and Fire sign and Share this Petition to make a change, it’s time we make a stand as Athletes, Family, Students etc…

The administration has acknowledged the petition and we are currently drafting a formal letter to secure an official meeting with the Athletic Director. We are prioritizing a face to face discussion to review the impact of coaching instability on player retention and academic performance.

What they need to is get rid of the athletic directors they are the ones who lied and manipulate paperwork so kids couldn't play.. then fired coach over stupid stuff that was out of his control and dumb... #DoBetterElCo
I am signing this petition to support reinstating a coach who, in just one year, transformed EC HS football team and its players, including my nephew. Beyond coaching, he inspired teamwork, growth, and character in these young men. The players and community deeply value his leadership and believe he deserves the chance to continue his exceptional work.
Coming from a high school football team that only won three games in three years I know how bad these boys hurt. I hope you adults that are making the decisions will think again about letting this head coach go. To show these young men that all their hard work doesn’t mean anything unless they win really stinks. Did any of you board members ever play football ? If you did then you learned more about life than you did about winning or losing.
As a coach for this program in previous years, I’ve known these kids since they were freshman and the struggles they have been through since they joined the program. Another coaching change is just going to make it harder for them and lead to another losing season for the program. If you truly want to build up this program, let him build it.
We want Coach Brian he has been like a father figure to me since my dad died, he has helped me grow so much in the past year but y’all athletic directors don’t care smh

It takes more than one year to turn around a program I've coached for 30 years and I know you can't fire a guy over one year of being a coach and when I read this and saw that it's not a team but a family that means a lot as a coach I would definitely look forward to bringing this guy back for another year or two and then make your decision
