We the people in Pleasantville, OH demand a 4-Way Stop sign be put at the intersection of Main Street and Pleasantville Road. This intersection is a danger to other drivers, and to our children trying to cross the road to go to the park and School.
The intersection has a 2-Way stop sign currently and it is poorly laid out. This intersection makes it to where people stopping at the current stop sign, need to pull out further to look for oncoming traffic. This creates a hazard to the people on Pleasantville Road pulling out to be hit, and to the people traveling Main Street to hit other cars as well.
The Pleasantville City Council has asked for a 4-Way Stop sign or a light be installed several times just to be turned down. The City of Pleasantville, has been told there are not enough accidents to warrant a 4-Way Stop sign to be placed here.
There should be no need for a preventable fatality to occur to be awarded a 4-Way Stop sign.
Please hear the people of Pleasantville, OH and approve the need to put a 4-Way Stop sign at the intersection of Main Street (188) and Pleasantville Road (Columbus Street) before there is a fatality.
I almost hit a car last night. I was coming home from the Marathon, I saw the car inching out to see if there were cars coming, and I thought for sure he saw me approaching. Just as I get to the intersection he starts to pull out further. I swerved into the left lane. If there would have been a car coming in my direction, I would not have been able to do that, and for sure, there would have been an accident. Not safe at all.
