We the people in Pleasantville, OH demand a 4-Way Stop sign be put at the intersection of Main Street and Pleasantville Road. This intersection is a danger to other drivers, and to our children trying to cross the road to go to the park and School.

The intersection has a 2-Way stop sign currently and it is poorly laid out. This intersection makes it to where people stopping at the current stop sign, need to pull out further to look for oncoming traffic. This creates a hazard to the people on Pleasantville Road pulling out to be hit, and to the people traveling Main Street to hit other cars as well.

The Pleasantville City Council has asked for a 4-Way Stop sign or a light be installed several times just to be turned down. The City of Pleasantville, has been told there are not enough accidents to warrant a 4-Way Stop sign to be placed here.

There should be no need for a preventable fatality to occur to be awarded a 4-Way Stop sign.

Please hear the people of Pleasantville, OH and approve the need to put a 4-Way Stop sign at the intersection of Main Street (188) and Pleasantville Road (Columbus Street) before there is a fatality.

Seeing the count climb this high feels heavy because it confirms how many of us feel unsafe at that crossing every single day. I am exhausted by the constant rejection from the council but your persistence reminds me why I started this fight in the first place.

I almost hit a car last night. I was coming home from the Marathon, I saw the car inching out to see if there were cars coming, and I thought for sure he saw me approaching. Just as I get to the intersection he starts to pull out further. I swerved into the left lane. If there would have been a car coming in my direction, I would not have been able to do that, and for sure, there would have been an accident. Not safe at all.

There has been multiple times I myself have almost been in or seen an accident there. The old hardware building on the corner of the street makes it extremely difficult to see on one side and the other side both buildings make it difficult to see especially when there are vehicles parked there.

I live in the village and purposely avoid this intersection. A 4-way stop would be better than a light, but add a caution sign (like the 25 mph Ahead).

It is ridiculous to wait any longer for something that has needed done for a long time. My friend that lives on that end of Main has seen many accidents there and many more almost accidents. It will also keep our children safer to have this four way stop in the center of town!!

This is absolutely necessary. You have to practically pull into the middle of the road at the stop sign on Pleasantville Rd. in order to see oncoming traffic on 188. It is not safe. Please take these requests into consideration. The citizens of this village know this problem very well and it has been a problem for years.

This is a horrible intersection for the elementary children to cross the street to get to school. They have to be out 1/2 way in the street to see if any cars are coming.

This is much needed. Drivers are always speeding through that intersection. Once a child was trying to cross and I could see the terror in his little eyes. I pulled out into intersection to block any possible oncoming vehicles, and motioned him acrss so he could get across safely. From my understanding many many years ago there used to be a light at that intersection. I don't want to wait and see a child die or be crippled for life. Please why not prevent a tragedy. We vaccinate our children, so what not implement a tool to save them harm.

This is truly an accident waiting to happen. Ridiculous the way the road is laid out, there must be a safer way implemented.
