I am requesting the assistance of my fellow townies in making our roads safer. I live at the corner of Grant and Stanton Ave. As most of you are aware I'm sure, its almost a daily scene of accidents at this intersection. I have just put in a request with the town to see the record number of accidents within the last 2 years. People driving down Stanton pay no mind to the 40 MPH speed restriction and also seem to think its ok to pass on this road. The Police do their best to control this, but they have to keep our town safe, they cannot babysit this intersection 24/7. I think we are all tired of the accidents at this intersection and I'm requesting to have 4-way blinking stop signs put in. Just yesterday my friend was T-boned leaving my house and there was another accident 4 hours ago. I feel the 4-way will help control the speed on the road and significantly help lower the number of accidents. this is a residential road, we should not see our loved ones rolled over in their vehicles in our neighbors lawns. I'm asking for your support in installing a 4-way stop sign with blinkers. I would like to take this petition along with other information to the next town meeting on January 8th if I have everything in order by than. Thank you.

The volume of support for this intersection change has reached a level that the town council can no longer overlook. I am currently finalizing the documentation of accident reports to present alongside this petition at the upcoming municipal hearing.

I’ll gladly sign it. We live on the intersection also and it’s been a thorn in our sides for the past 28 years
I just wanted everyone to know. I have been in direct contact with Chief Zimmer. We discussed the issue at the intersection and he has requested his secretary to give him a copy of the OPRA report I requested. He is going to look into a solution. We discussed different solutions and ultimately it will come down to the causes of each accident. Chief Zimmer is very willing to help and will keep me updated. Just wanted to update everyone. Thanks again.
The major factor in many of the accidents occurring at this corner is that many people run the stop sign on Grant. That being said I agree 100% that a four way stop is long overdue. However people have to be more mindful of the stop signs. People have to stop looking at their phones!
I come home this way almost every day from working. Coming down grant from Williamstown road and turning left on Stanton towards tuckahoe. I can barely see and judge the traffic coming from tuckahoe.
My daughter’s friend was in a bad accident at this intersection. Thankfully she lived!

This intersection is Awful! Have witness several accidents & have called 911 @ least 5 times. My Family has lived just steps from this intersection for last 14 years. We as a Township need to keep everyone safe by adding just 2 more stop signs & wouldn't hurt to cut down the enormous tree in order to have full & clear view too! The cost is merely around $100 +labor, there is no excuse, this should be a priority! I have seen a children filled school bus that was hit so hard the wheels popped off! Another time saw an unresponsive young man in the drivers seat w. His Mom in tears as the passenger. Please, please hear our request!
