Please support BEAT BOXING’s DA to council for a “material change of use” to keep them operating at 64 Taylor st, Bulimba.
I, a local resident residing within 200m from Beat Boxing Bulimba request your support in seeking approval for the material change of use for the business located at 64 Taylor Street, Bulimba. Beat Boxing is a popular community and family focused fitness business that has been operating for four years of which my family and I have been attending for the past two years.
I am one of the closest receptors residentially to this business and personally believe that with limited fitness facilities in this area, Beat Boxing is a positive business and a ‘go to’ place for all ages and abilities, especially at a time when the fitness and healthy lifestyle movement is thriving. This boxing business is in a great location with no negative impact to the surrounding residential community. There is a large number of local residents who walk or ride their bike to this venue. For those that do drive, with the varied operating hours, I believe vehicle impact is extremely low. Please help keep Beat Boxing located at 64 Taylor st, Bulimba by signing this petition to support their approval in the development application.
Regards, C G Patterson.

The council ignores the fact that this gym is a vital community hub but they cannot ignore the growing wall of names demanding they grant this permit. Our momentum is forcing their hand and making it impossible for bureaucrats to hide behind red tape while they try to shut down a local business.

This a great gym which is both part of and supports the local community. They personally helped me to achieve goals I would not have considered attainable. We need this local business and less of the "faceless chains" which just milk money into the corporate pot.
Obesity and renal disease is increasing at an alarming rate. Supporting this gym to move the council to legislate to change the Material Change of Use from Light Industrial to Indoor Sport & Recreation is common sense.
Don't let red tape and bureaucracy shut down a fantastic small business that supports the community and promotes health, fitness and wellness!
Beat boxing provide fantastic service for all ages in a professional relaxed way, from fitness to amateur/professional boxing. They are an important part of our community providing fitness and boxing sessions for our children and teenagers mentoring them in a positive way.
This is a wonderful community-based business assisting people to be healthier, fitter, and is actively creating positive robust connections between people who who live in the Bulimba area. The owners are mindful operators. This type of business keeps communities thriving!
Beat boxing has become more of a big family than just your average gym. I could write a book about what this place means not just to me, but also to each and every member that comes in. You can see the good vibes and you can feel the positive energy among everyone not just the members but also the coaches who are so passionate about this place, everyone is looked after so well and the owners love to talk and get to know every member of this community. That type of connection, the family that this gym has manifested into you won’t find anywhere else, whether your someone who’s looking to compete in the ring or just wanting to join for basic fitness and enjoyment, all ages and all levels it’s evident everyday when I walk in how much of an impact beatboxing has made to everybody’s lives. Chris and Christie have become like parental figures to me, if anything they deserve recognition and praise for what they have created! Nobody else could have done what they have. The whole community of Bulimba supports beat boxing and they should rightfully stay right where they are!!! I’m so glad I joined this gym and thankful for the friends I have made and how this place has helped me personally! ❤️

I have been attending this gym for years and it is a fantastic part of the Bulimba community. There is a 24 hour gym in the same street and to reject the material change lf use application simply wouldn’t make any sense. It is imperative that the gym remain open.
