Public Dining Room at Balmoral Beach in Sydney Australia is one of Sydney's most beautiful restaurants. The restaurant is currently subject to some oppressive and seemingly excessively harsh restrictions to their permission to play amplified music within the premises and to trade until similar hours as other restaurants. The restaurant also makes an ideal venue to hold important events such as birthdays and weddings. With the current restrictions to noise and trading hours, amplified music - even through an iPod using the speaker system, or a microphone to make a short speech would not be permitted. Guests would also be required to leave the restaurant by 10.30pm. Clearly these restrictions are risking the livelihood of this fine establishment.

Remove the current noise restrictions that prevent amplified music within the premises
Extend trading hours to operate from 8am to 11.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 8am to midnight Friday to Saturday and days immediately preceding a public holiday.

RIDICULOUS! 10:30 is way to early to be kicking people out on a weekend. Let them play some music.
Balmoral is such a beautiful spot and it makes no sense to have such strict rules for a place like this. Really hope they can change this soon.

Fully support the Oublic Dining Room as a respectful, wold class events venue. What a shame for Sydney night life and reputation if this sets a precedent.
