Obesity and renal disease is increasing at an alarming rate. Supporting this gym to move the council to legislate to change the Material Change of Use from Light Industrial to Indoor Sport & Recreation is common sense.

Beat boxing has become more of a big family than just your average gym. I could write a book about what this place means not just to me, but also to each and every member that comes in. You can see the good vibes and you can feel the positive energy among everyone not just the members but also the coaches who are so passionate about this place, everyone is looked after so well and the owners love to talk and get to know every member of this community. That type of connection, the family that this gym has manifested into you won’t find anywhere else, whether your someone who’s looking to compete in the ring or just wanting to join for basic fitness and enjoyment, all ages and all levels it’s evident everyday when I walk in how much of an impact beatboxing has made to everybody’s lives. Chris and Christie have become like parental figures to me, if anything they deserve recognition and praise for what they have created! Nobody else could have done what they have. The whole community of Bulimba supports beat boxing and they should rightfully stay right where they are!!! I’m so glad I joined this gym and thankful for the friends I have made and how this place has helped me personally! ❤️

I've been going to beat boxing bulimia for 3 years now and have only positive things to say about the gym. All it's members can agree that beatboxing bulimia has a positive impact to the community. We all love the beat boxing bulimia and would be very disspointed if they have to relocate.

Beat Boxing is not only a place to exercise, but a fun, authentic, family friendly, driven-to-support-the-people enterprise that genuinely care about the individual and the community. Through this approach, the owners Christie and Chris have successfully created a space which uniquely and positively contributes to the Bulimba community landscape. If they were no longer able to operate in this location, it would be to the detriment of the Bulimba constituents which it lovingly serves and brings together. Brisbane City Council, the great social and community benefits this local sport and rec business provides, fits well within your agenda encouraging healthy communities for Brisbane. Please allow the development application to proceed without implication so that they continue operation in our community. Thank you!

This gym and safe house for a lot of people in the community must remain where it is. The business and the family running this place has made a huge positive impact on many lives around the surrounding area. Forcing out Beat Boxing could have a huge negative impact on the business, the family that have built this from the ground up, and the many many people that reap huge personal gain here - physically and mentally. Allow Beat Boxing Bulimba to continue the great job that they're doing for society and the community alike. Forcing Beat Boxing away from its current location is going to leave people devastated, including myself.

Good family style gym. What a great enviroment for friendships, laughs and personal growth. Its hard to find a gym where ego is left at the door. Chris and Christie have not just created a gym, they have championed a space for community.

A positive influence on the neighbourhood. Superb independent, family run business. Don’t make them go!

I have been attending this gym for years and it is a fantastic part of the Bulimba community. There is a 24 hour gym in the same street and to reject the material change lf use application simply wouldn’t make any sense. It is imperative that the gym remain open.

Beat boxing is more than just a gym, it is a home. It is it’s own community, full of support. The closing of the gym, would be a closing of an integral part of our lives. The gym was and is the best thing I ever did and I support it 100%.
