In November 2015 it was announced that the home for bboys, bgirls, boxers, basketball players, martial artist and sports people alike will be demolished in favour of new apartment buildings after serving the Parramatta municipality and local community for over 50 years.

The current plan is to relocate the existing premises at 12 Hassall Street, Parramatta to be beyond accessible distance by train and bus which is vital for young people who wish to attend. The PCYC could be built at the current location but modifications would need to be made to the proposed apartment building planned to be on this site. This idea has so far been rejected by management of PCYC NSW.

By signing this petition you are agreeing that Parramatta PCYC should be incorporated into the planning of any future building to be constructed at the current location of 12 Hassall St and should not to be relocated.

Let's save Parramatta PCYC to ensure the community, particularly young people, can easily access this important facility for a further 50 years!!! This petition will be taken to local council and parliamentary members in early 2016 to discuss further action. As a community, we can do this!!!

I love this gym and I love the people that work and volunteer here, it's brilliant for all the kids from all walks of life. The disabled come here and they need this facility and I'm a carer and bring a client here as well as other carers. We want this gym to stay. For all these very important reasons.

This place is home to incredible talent and it really is a place that helps develop youth - especially for breakdancing !! It's an incredible area for people to come down and jam and it is a much needed spot for the friday night for the locals. This PCYC has created many memories for me and I know it does for many others, friendships are born here, friendships are perserved here and the positive impact that this has had over the years is incredible. Don't let this go!

The bboys at the parramatta pcyc are really great people, they taught me how to train for competitions, and from this training I was able to learn the meaning of hard work, during this time I was a stubborn teenager, so this was such a crucial lesson for me to be taught

I have been attending parramatta pcyc for over 10 years & without it i wouldn't be where i am now. With space provided to train & the support of the pcyc staff, i have been able to work on my art & share it around the world. We need more places like parramatta pcyc to inspire, encourage & support the youth & build a better community.

If it wasn't for Parramatta PCYC I wouldn't have achieved what I have achieved to this point. I've represented Australia many times internationally in Bboy/Breakdancing competitions and I've also been able to be featured on shows like So You Think You Can Dance Australia. More importantly, I wouldn't have the close friends that I have now and I also wouldn't have been able to help inspire the next generation of dancers that is growing in our community. Build those apartment somewhere else, they won't inspire anybody. Pcyc being where it is, accessible to young people, great facilities and having great people has inspired and has helped keeping young people doing something positive.

Hello. Please hear me out: incredibly grateful! I was a part if justice crew. Winners of Australia's got talent in 2010. A lot of training was possible because of PCYC being walking distance from the station. I see a lot of young kids who don't drive, and they train there all the time! These are stars in the making. I have been one and I see it them. If it's possible, a chance to save the location of this pcyc may just be the reason the next star is born to represent our country! And Parramatta. Warmest regards! Tass

These were built for a reason and they seem to be sold out for there position. They were near railway lines so they could be accessible to as many people as possible. Been left to wither and die. Shame.

Such a vital service should stay where it is.
