We are approaching the 250 signature threshold required to officially table this proposal with the city council planning department. I am finalizing the formal submission document and need these additional signatures to ensure our request for the renaming of Bangor Circle carries the necessary weight.

Remember him well in Moran's Hotel with the Black Eagles. Eamon Coughlan has a roundabout, so why not PL Park with playground area and plaque.
Phil was a lovely fella and a down to earth crumliner who loved Crumlin and more importantly Leighlin Road , also the road I grew up on, it would be amazing to have him remembered this way
I ma from Crumlin, and would be delighted to have Phils name forever part of the scheme. Phil was the first famous person I knew from Crumlin, it meant a lot to me that he never forgot where he came from, and gave me pride in Crumlin ....
Abso-bloody-lutely. Behan’s house has a lovely plaque, and there’s an arguement to rename Kildare road after him. This, for Philo, to make a cultural/historical statement, would be great. Endless possibilities could come from this for the local area (a tie in with A Vibe for Philo/our own Philofest?).
This be fantastic a lifelong fan and family are friends with philomena Philips Mam this would be great to say a person who has touch so many people through his music is honour in his native area

Anyone questioning whether Phil Lynott is worthy enough as an Irishman to deserve this honor should listen and read the lyrics to Roisin Dubh (Black Rose) and this should quickly assuage any doubts. In my opinion it is the single greatest rock song ever written and is a pure love song to his homeland of Ireland. Still gets to me every time I hear it. Yes he was a flawed man, but who among us isn’t. He gave it his all in his short life and Lynott’s Thin Lizzy was everything a rock band ever could be or should be. Thank you so much for all you gave to this world. Your songs have had immense impact and meaning in my life and for many others as well. Phil Lynott will always be my tragic hero. God bless you sir and may you Rest In Peace.
