We the undersigned call on Dublin City Council to prioritise a playground for Pearse Park Crumlin.
Edel James is putting pressure on Dublin City Council to provide a playground for children in the area, and is calling on local residents to assist her.
For years, Crumlin residents have been calling on the Council to provide a playground in Pearse Park, to no avail.
In recent years, Walkinstown and Terenure have been prioritised, with Crumlin being over-looked. However, I have learned from officials in the Council that Crumlin will be next on the list, once funding becomes available, but to ensure Crumlin doesn’t slip down the list again the residents need to exert some pressure on the Council and make their feelings known.
In order to keep the momentum going, I have begun a petition, which I intend to hand into Dublin City Council to demonstrate just how strongly residents feel about this issue. I am calling on the people of Crumlin to row in behind me and sign my petition. There is a huge population of young children in Crumlin and surrounding areas and a playground would enhance the community immensely.

The Council is still stalling on the Pearse Park funding so we need to step up direct pressure now. Email your local representatives today to ask why Crumlin remains at the bottom of their agenda. Post our link on Facebook to ensure the rest of the neighborhood knows we are still fighting for this playground.

Reaching this milestone proves that the council cannot keep ignoring our neighborhood. Call your local representative today and tell them that Crumlin families demand a playground in Pearse Park now.

Pearse park should have a play ground for kids , terrible we have to go outside Crumlin to bring out kids ta play
A playground is needed in Pearce park for local families... The park is really looking well after recent refurbishments.playground would entice young families to use it.
As a mother of two young children I regularly bring my kids to playgrounds outside of Crumlin. I would love to see a playground but not if it will attract anti social behaviour at night it will have to be protected.
We need this play ground we've been overlooked to many times stand together people local elections coming up
I dont live in crumlin now but did as a child and played in pears park everyday as it was the onky park we had I lived on clonard road and would walk up to play for hours in the park ...give the children a park where yous never children youselfs ..put yourself in the childrens shoes and look through there eyes remember how you felt when you were young and ran into a playground and played for hours ..I bet you never wanted to leave .

There are a lot of children in the Crumlin area with no play area for parents to bring them. The working class area's are always overlooked when it comes to providing facilities....You just have to look at the fight to keep Crumlin swimming pool !!!!
