The purpose of this petition is to keep the public pool, located in the St. Marys Recreation Park, Margret & W. Ashley Streets, open. The pool has provided enjoyment for many years and is a vital asset to citizens, especially those on a limited budget.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to repair maintain and open the pool.
I do think the St. Marys Pool should stay open. It serves, at a reasonable cost, a group of residents who may not have transportation or money for the higher admission fees at theRec Center. Certainly, the decision should not be made without adequate public conversation.

This pool is needed in our community. It's an affordable, healthy activity for all ages. It needs to be advertised as an alternative to the aquatic center and the main PSA pool, especially now, if the number of visitors at each facility has to be limited due to covid-19.

My kids enjoy the pool in the summertime, it is right near our house and is something fun we can do as a family. At a time like this we need as may opportunities to keep our children outside. Please do not close our pool. XXX Borrell Blvd- Camden Resident

Save the Pool! The residents of St. Mary’s want it repaired and reopened. My children are 3rd generation swimmers at the City Pool and we purchased season passes each year. Repair & Reopen and give us the slide back!

One of the few things we have in this county for kids to do. Especially in St. Mary’s. It’s crazy that they can spend MILLIONS on a farce of a spaceport but can’t keep a pool going!! Sad state of affairs!!

It is an affordable neighborhood pool, one that o worked at as a lifeguard and a manager. It needs to stay open and I am happy to discuss how to do it effectively. I spent the last 15 years in aquatic facility management.

This is a great asset to our community that would be utilized by those in the area wanting to enjoy a more relaxed day at the pool. Surely this pool, will the proper repairs and management would be an asset to the area residents and visitors looking for a refreshing swim.
