I spent all morning at the edge of the empty pool basin thinking about how many summers I spent teaching my daughter to swim in this exact spot. The silence from the council office is frustrating but it only reinforces that we have to keep pushing until someone finally listens.

Seeing this kind of momentum reminds me of the summers my brother spent learning to swim at that pool. I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you remember that place with the same level of love.

This is a wonderful day to day entertainment for many kids in the community. Not to mention a job for several of the young kids still in school. I myself and one of my brothers worked at the pool for 3 summers. It would be such a shame to see it close.

Our pool is a big plus for our community. Maybe a grant or the county commissioners could help, since it's the only pool in our county.

The best way to save the pool is to use it! Please take time the last few weeks the pool is open and go swim. They need our business!

Much needed, and named for a man who loved Syracuse. He was a great man, and saving his legacy should be a #1 priority!
