We the undersigned residence of Pleasant Valley - Elizabeth Township in Lawrence County, Ohio.

Hereby petition The Ohio Department of natural resources, division of mineral resources , Abandoned Mine Land Reclamation Program the Lawrence County Board of commissioners, the Elizabeth Township Board of Trustees, & The estate of former Ohio State Senator Oakley C. Collins and Collins mining company . We are petitioning for :

A flood abatement and dredging project to be done in Pleasant Valley - Elizabeth Township , Lawrence County Ohio in the area extending from Ohio state route 93 along County Road 25 [ White Oak Road ] to and along Township Road 155 - E.(Fox Hollow / Prickly - Ash Road ) in Elizabeth Township extending over to and along County Road 27 [ Little Pine Creek Road ] to & along Ohio state route 522 back Ohio state route 93.

Purpose of the project is for a dredging and flooding abatement project in our community, and the goal of the project is to protect the community from the flooding of the the Creek that runs along Township Road 155 - E , (Fox Hollow / Prickly - Ash Road ) And Little Pine Creek that runs along County Road 27 [ little Pine Creek Road ]

The purpose of the abatement project is as follows:

The definition of abatement,

(1) the removal of a problem which is against public or private policy, or endangers others, including nuisances such as weeds that might catch fire on an otherwise empty lot , this can be done in this case by Dredging the creek .

Purpose of the dredging project, . A . To help prevent any more flooding in the Pleasant Valley area from the Creeks that run along (Fox Hollow / Prickly - Ash Road ) Township Road 155 - E ,from Little Pine Creek that runs along County Road 27 (Little Pine Creek Road) & from runoff from abandoned surface mime property off of County Road 25 [ White Oak Road ] Pedro ,Ohio .

B The purpose of the dredging is to prevent any further loss and or physical or financial damage to land and/or property of the residents of Pleasant Valley.

We the undersigned petitioners are asking for an abatement as in definition one, Abatement

(1) the removal of a problem which is against public or private policy, or endangers others, including nuisances such as weeds that might catch fire on an otherwise empty lot; 2) an equal reduction of recovery of debts by all creditors when there are not enough funds or assets to pay the full amount; 3) an equal reduction of benefits to beneficiaries (heirs) when an estate is not large enough to pay each beneficiary in full.

This can easily be accomplished by dredging and cleaning the Creek , Dredging is an excavation activity or operation usually carried out at least partly underwater, in shallow seas or fresh water areas with the purpose of gathering up bottom sediments and disposing of them at a different location. This technique is often used to keep waterways navigable .
