We, the undersigned residents and supporters of Ingram, Texas, urgently call on county and state officials to drain Ingram Lake to:
• Remove human remains
• Eliminate hazardous materials
• Clean up debris, including vehicles and travel trailers
Since the devastating floods on July 4th, our community has grown increasingly concerned about the condition of our lake. Divers have confirmed that the lakebed contains dangerous materials that pose serious health and environmental risks. The only effective way to restore the lake is to drain it. This process has been done before and is not costly.
Currently, there is a closed valve acting as a stopper. Once removed, the water will flow out, allowing for safe cleanup and restoration. Draining the lake will make it usable, safe, and beautiful once again for our community and future generations.
By signing below, you show your support for this urgent action and help demonstrate to decision-makers that our community is united and committed to restoring Ingram Lake.

Don’t just drain the lake, please drain & dredge all along the river too. I was in the flood and saw all the things going down the river. There may be cars, boats, roofs, parts of houses, propane tanks, water tanks, and no telling what else buried in the river. If we are going to safely get in the river again- ALL of this must be done!!

Our family has owned property on the river for over 100 years. We support draining the lake to clean toxins and debris from the water.

This has been my family home and I have been going for 44 years. Let’s drain the lake and get it back to where we can use it and enjoy it as it was intended

Everyone who loves our beautiful river, everyone who wants to help the families of the lost and the community find closure needs to sign this. It will be a long time before myself and many others will ever enjoy our river again, this is an important step that needs to happen to restore the community.

Ingram Lake has been past due for a few years to drain and maintain the cleanliness and hazards material that lurks beneath the surface. Previously drained every 10 years on average. Passed due! #DRAIN IT #FORTHEPUBLIC

This lake needs to be drained to give people peace of mind that there are no bodies in there and properly clean the lake bed for safety.
