The cove near the Waterford Subdivision has been quickly filling in with silt, mud and debris. Much of this is caused by the failed retention pond at the Cool Waters Subdivision and is still pushing mud into the lake with every rain. Please sign this petition in support of the lake being dredged and the cause of the issue to be repaired. This affects all of our home values in Waterford, and across the cove. I spent the entire morning looking at that retention pond and honestly it just gets worse every time it sprinkles. People keep sending me photos of the mud buildup near their docks and it makes me so angry because this is preventable if the right people would just pay attention.

I have kayaked Lake Cooley for last 10 years and have witnessed the damage by the silt and mud run-off from Cool Waters.
215 Waterford Dr. I contacted Spartanburg Count when Cool Waters was under development with my concerns of mud and silt and was told the retention pond was built to codes and there was nothing they could do. They did come out and look over the problem but no action was taken.

We are having the same issue on Canady Rd where sediment control was not adequate when they were closing the end of our road and doing road work on 292-our cove has been filling in as well with silt and red mud.
