Petition against pardoning Charles Jackson

Charles Jackson caused the death of Charles Colclasure on July 30th, when he ran over him three times with Mr. Colclasure’s car, Alvin Jackson shot him six times and he was thrown into the Arkansas River. Mr. Charles Jackson also attempted to rob and murder the security at Little Rock By Products on July 29th, 1989. On
August 1st, after abandoning the car, they attempted to rob the Night Watch man
at Little Rock Crate and Basket but fled when he fired back. He was arrested while
trying to kill his own brother. Charles Jackson got life w/o parole but was released on July 3rd, 2019 due to Supreme Court ruling. He was immediately released and is now asking for a pardon for his criminal past. WE STRONGLY
OPPOSE HIS PARDON FOR ANY OF THESE CRIMES.

I honestly kept refreshing the page thinking it was a glitch because I just did not expect this level of response and it feels overwhelming in a way that actually makes me want to keep fighting even harder. Seeing all of these people agreeing that this guy should not get a pardon is honestly the only thing keeping me focused right now because it is just so exhausting to even think about what he did to those people.

This man killed my grandfathers brother, my great uncle, in cold blood. He should never be pardoned for his crimes. I have three cousins who only had their father for a short period of time. This man didn’t even deserve to be released from prison.
I have known the Colclasure family for several years now. The amount of pain these sweet girls and their wonderful mom have lived with for the last 32, yes 32, years should justify the refusal for pardon.
This is just wrong. It is bad enough that he was paroled. He definitely does not deserve a pardon. The victim of this crime is the grandfather of my grandchildren and my son’s father-in-law. They will never have the opportunity to know him. And my daughter-in-law was only 9 years old at the time of his death. She did not get to grow up with that special father/daughter connection that develops over the years. Hopefully signing this petition will do some good. Life without parole should be exactly that.
Charles Jackson should have never been released for the crime of murdering my cousin. He knew very well what he was doing. They had several chances to not end my cousins life and chose to keep going until they ended his life. My cousin was a husband, father and wonderful man and Charles Jackson along with Alvin Jackson took his life for a watch and a few dollars. He does not deserve to be out of prison much less pardoned from this crime. Please do not pardon Charles Jackson.
I am begging you to please not Pardon Charles Jackson! Mr Dick Colclasure who was coldly and gruesomely murdered by Charles Jackson and Alvin Jackson was my Uncle. He was a good man, a husband, father of 3, son, brother, cousin and Uncle! He was a respected man who had a lot to give! Charles Jackson is a convicted murderer who also attempted to murder others including his very own brother! He is a man without compassion, without remorse, he is a danger to society including the family of Mr Colclasure! They will forever have to live with the consequences of Jacksons actions, there is no chance of a Pardon for us and there should be no chance of a pardon for Charles Jackson!
He needs to rot in prison... or better yet an eye for an eye

I totally & completely disagree with any pardon for Charles Jackson - he was convicted of a horrific crime & sentenced to life without parole. He has now been released from prison & wants a pardon? Are you kidding me? It’s maddening that this man is walking the streets, but to pardon him is a slap in the face to his victim’s family, friends & all the law abiding citizens of this state. It’s outrageous & I implore the governor to deny this convicted murderer’s pardon.
