The council finally voted to block the rezoning of the property. I am honestly drained by this fight but relieved that our land will stay as it is. Keep your eyes on the local planning meetings because we need to stay vigilant.
Seeing this momentum grow has been exhausting yet necessary. I am grateful that so many of you recognized the risk to our neighborhood before it was too late.

This would cause two of my very good friends to lose their homes, essentially putting them on the streets.

There is no legal "change of conditions", so this cannot be granted per the code. Building across the street is zoned differently.

This property is a critical wildlife corridor, and rezoning to increase density would also create dangerous traffic hazards due to the nature of the roads around it. Develop within the existing code if desired, but do not rezone!

Please do not redone- it would be a travesty.

We need it as difficult as possible and need the city to make sure the plans are followed

We need to protect the beauty of Estes Park and not turn it into another high density big town.

I oppose any re-zoning of the property at 860 S. St. Vrain Ave – it is poor planning and does not take into account the greater community of Estes Park.
