A convicted RAPIST and attempted murderer from our community is going before the Parole Board seeking early release after serving less than half of a 10-YEAR SENTENCE!

In December 2018, this individual attacked a Greyton resident with a knife, physically and sexually assaulting her. He was convicted of these heinous crimes in July 2019 and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

We urge the community to sign this online petition or visit the restaurants and shops listed below to add their support:

OK, Vilko, Abby Rose, Fiore, Old Potters, Post House, Oak & Vine, Zippys, Pure Café

Given the sensitive nature of this case, we request that the community handles this matter with care and respect for the victim and her family.

Your support and action in this matter are crucial. Let us come together to protect our community and stand with the victim and her family.

The volume of support has reached a level that the Parole Board can no longer ignore. I am currently finalizing a formal letter of opposition that references our collective stance to be delivered to the board office this week.

This is simply not how justice should work. As a convicted rapist and someone who intended to take the life of another, he should not be granted parole. GBV is rampant in this country, and people need to understand that appropriate punishment is meted out to those who break the law.

Greyton is a small community often experiencing high levels of petty crime. It is a small vulnerable village who do not need to have a constant reminder in their presence of a violent crime. The victim should not have to face the perpetrator on a daily basis

It is imperative this man who did this horrific attack and vile act on a member of our community serves his full sentence handed down in a South African court , a mere 10 years for totally destroying a young girls life is in itself a travesty .

I know the woman personally whom this rapist brutally and forcefully raped. She is in ongoing trauma, and the woman and girls in Greyton and surrounding communities live in fear of a repeated offense by the criminal if he is released

We can not allow someone like that into our ward! raising young children, and families who has been traumatized by this event has not had the time to heal properly.... Justice needs to be served in a lengthy sentence he deserves no parole....

I oppose bail of this inmate. If you think he has been rehabilitated then I suggest you first let him stay at your home for a few nights before you release him back into our small community.

The community protection against this serious abuse of woman and children... shortened sentences are diminishing the seriousness of this problem.
