The community protection against this serious abuse of woman and children... shortened sentences are diminishing the seriousness of this problem.

I vehemently oppose parole being granted! A heinous and unforgivable crime was committed that has caused irreparable harm to the victim and her loved ones. Granting parole will send a distressing message to the survivors of sexual violence-it is unacceptable and a grave injustice that the perpetrator’s interest should outweigh the ongoing suffering of the victim. Our justice system must firstly protect the innocent and criminals must be held accountable. The FULL sentence should be served to reflect the gravity of the crime and ensure our communities are safe and justice is seen to be served

Ongoing incarceration is the only way to protect the victim and the community from this convicted criminal.

It is not acceptable that a criminal only serves a 5 year sentence for such a vicious, violent, gender based crime. He should serve his full sentence as a deterrent to others

No early release. Let vunerable law abiding woman and children feel save without the treat of a criminal lurking in their lives.

I am totally opposed to this rapist being granted parole. He must serve the full ten years.

It is shocking to see how weak South African laws are to protect its citizens and victims!! He is s danger to society and must definitely stay in prison!

Rapists, who clearly do not respect women, should be locked away for life. Otherwise half of our population is afraid of using public spaces.

For Justice to prevail strongly it is critical to ensure that punishment fits the crime. Those sentenced for such crimes as this one need to fully understand why and hopefully be remorseful towards genuine ‘change of heart’.

Letting this man free means putting every woman in danger.

The problem with giving convicted rapists parole is that it gives them the opportunity to raoe mire woman which us all they want to do. The judge who gjves such a person parole, should be held accountable for such a persons acts while on parole.
