We oppose the parole of convicted rapist Le Roy Anderson and ask that he be kept in custody to serve the full term of his sentence. The parole process is underway, and we need the community to speak clearly and quickly.
Last year, we asked our community to stand with us in objecting to the possible parole of Le Roy Anderson. We are making that call again because this matter still affects the safety and peace of our small, close-knit community. If he is released, he will return to the same community where the victim and her family still live. That creates deep concern for women, girls, survivors, and everyone who wants to feel safe in the place they call home.
Early release in a case like this is not just a legal matter. It is about justice, accountability, and the lasting harm that remains long after the sentence is handed down. The risk of reoffending cannot be ignored, and neither can the fear and distress felt by the victim and her family. A parole decision should never put the well-being of a community at risk or make survivors feel unprotected.
We were only recently informed of the upcoming parole hearing, so we must act now. All objections must be submitted by Wednesday, 25 November.
Please sign this petition and help us make it clear that Le Roy Anderson must serve the full term of his sentence. Our safety matters, and together we can make our voices heard.
