We strongly oppose the early release of Renaties De Klerk (Prisoner No. 202535311), who has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the heinous crimes of rape, kidnapping, assault, and housebreaking.

Renaties De Klerk's offenses were committed in Caledon, and he is originally from Caledon. The proposal to release him on parole into the community of Boschmanskloof (Greyton), poses a significant risk to the safety and well-being of our community.

We believe that allowing a convicted criminal of such serious offenses to re-enter society, especially in a different community than where the crimes were committed, undermines the justice system and disregards the safety of Ward 2’s residents.

We urge the relevant authorities to reconsider this decision and to prioritize the safety and security of all citizens. We demand that Renaties De Klerk serves his full sentence and is not granted parole, ensuring he remains incarcerated for the duration of his life sentence.

Your support and signature on this petition are crucial in protecting our community from potential harm and ensuring that justice is upheld.

Greyton-Boschmanskloof should not have to shoulder the burden of hosting this convicted criminal 'on parole', where this community does not have the resources to contain the escalating increase in crime in the area.

I work at a school within the community. Early release op an inmate with such crimes pose a direct threat to the well-being of our youth in the community.

There is already a crime wave hitting the valley since the recent release of a bunch of criminals. This man needs to serve out his sentence, releasing him into our small rural Community poses a threat the woman and children

I strongly object to this criminal being released after his convictions. Work is limited in the area and statistics show these criminals repeat the same behaviour. I do not want to be a victim statistic.

He should finish his jail term. We can't afford criminals hanging around in our streets. It's risky and undermining our security.
