I walked past the site at 47 Fairfield Road again yesterday and it hit me how much character this neighborhood stands to lose if we let these plans go through. Many of you have reached out with your own worries about the traffic and the loss of our local heritage. I am currently gathering our formal objections to submit to the council so they understand this community is not just going to roll over.

Seeing this level of support for the home where my family grew up is overwhelming. The momentum we have built proves that our neighbors recognize the value of keeping this property as it is.

I strongly oppose the proposed development for the same reasons my neighbours have raised. The development is unsightly, causes a driving risk on a dangerous corner and will block the sunlight to neighbours. Increasing the number of residents in this already developed area will put a strain on local services and increase congestion.
I object to this development because it is unsightly and not in keeping with other properties in the area. We don't need more flats in Uxbridge - the schools and doctors are overloaded with ever increasing numbers!
Does This quiet residential road need yet another block of flats..only to line the pockets of somebody living in Farnborough..A dangerous blind bend and on a junction to a major artery road to uxbridge .No considerations to the neighbour's and infrastructure of the community..
Object to removal of a perfectly good house just for profit. It is not in keeping with the area. The street has already lost lots of individual homes for flats. The house is in the area where it is meant to be much harder to demolish house and build flats.
The character of one of North Uxbridge' s finest roads will be destroyed. I strongly object to this application. Parking is already difficult in the area. Developers out to make a fast buck. Please protect North Uxbridge from over development. Look what has happened to character of Cambridge Road. STOP.

This proposed development does nothing for and is not in keeping with the visible street scene. A development of this sort at the junction of a busy main road and a busy link road from one side of Uxbridge (Belmont Road) will only add to the problematical junction of Fairfield and Harefield Roads. The profile of Harefield Road (It curves in to the detached house just up from Fairfield Road) and the high bulky hedging that overlaps the narrow footpath gives obscured view of the oncoming traffic travelling towards Uxbridge on Harefield Road. The proposal is also a drastic overdevelopment of the corner site and due to its density of occupation will result in a much higher demand for on street parking in the area. The quoted appeal in another part of the borough is laughable as it bears no reflection on this application and its surroundings. The LBH has guidelines regarding the density of flatted development in domestic residential areas which lead to a drop of in development in this road. This development offers nothing to the area of Fairfield Road and also would be much higher than the surrounding properties on Harefield Road which could lead to an overbearing feeling to the local respective properties.

Parking already limited, would mean no visitors allowed to the surrounding houses. The flats would be imposing to the area, as they are already higher than the houses on Harefield Road. For a school route, make an already busy road extremely busier.
