Waterhaven and other communities oppose the rezoning of six vacant acres of land off South Access Road and Randolph Circle, near Highway 153 and Harrison Pike to commercial property.

The residents of Waterhaven, Kings Point and the surrounding area are submitting these signatures to protest this type of business coming into our community. We are concerned about our property values going down and the crime rate going up. The proximity to our Elementary School, storm water runoff and the traffic it would add to our streets which are already in disrepair. The area is surrounded by many private homes, churches, a bridal chapel, pediatric therapy center, business offices.

I have family that lives in water haven and we spend a great deal of time there. I've heard rumors of development for a while now and personally think it's a terrible idea. Families bought these homes not knowing there was potential

As a Waterhaven resident, I strongly oppose the proposed rezoning and construction of an RV park so close to our home.

As a sitting member of the Chattanooga Board of Zoning Appeals, I urge my colleagues at the RPA to deny this ill-advised proposed zoning change.

The so called, "developer," is presenting a "bait and switch" proposal requesting to rezone from residential to commercial. Please understand that the infrastructure costs as well as the redesign of the existing roads for entrance and exit could never be capitalized and this enterprise turned into a viable business. Hence, the bait and switch. What will materialize is "permanent " monthly rentals for RV's and other habitats that are classified as movable yet they never move again after being located on the property. This an old story. Please do not fall for this veiled proposal. Please protect existing property owners.

This ill conceived RV park project would not benefit any of the existing neighborhoods in the area. It will not add to the beautification of East Chattanooga, rather another eye sore perpetuating an existing stereotype. This particular piece of land is not what I would consider a camper's destination area, and I fear that it would become a permanent residence for many RV owners, effecting neighboring property values in a negative manner.

The rezoning and proposed RV Park will bring much unwanted traffic causing degradation to the surrounding roads and more importantly, property values.
