I have family that lives in water haven and we spend a great deal of time there. I've heard rumors of development for a while now and personally think it's a terrible idea. Families bought these homes not knowing there was potential

As a Waterhaven resident, I strongly oppose the proposed rezoning and construction of an RV park so close to our home.

All lots on S Access road are commercial, adding one residential lot is spot zoning and is not good for the local area.

As a sitting member of the Chattanooga Board of Zoning Appeals, I urge my colleagues at the RPA to deny this ill-advised proposed zoning change.

The so called, "developer," is presenting a "bait and switch" proposal requesting to rezone from residential to commercial. Please understand that the infrastructure costs as well as the redesign of the existing roads for entrance and exit could never be capitalized and this enterprise turned into a viable business. Hence, the bait and switch. What will materialize is "permanent " monthly rentals for RV's and other habitats that are classified as movable yet they never move again after being located on the property. This an old story. Please do not fall for this veiled proposal. Please protect existing property owners.

This ill conceived RV park project would not benefit any of the existing neighborhoods in the area. It will not add to the beautification of East Chattanooga, rather another eye sore perpetuating an existing stereotype. This particular piece of land is not what I would consider a camper's destination area, and I fear that it would become a permanent residence for many RV owners, effecting neighboring property values in a negative manner.

Concerns include but are not limited to: our property values decreasing, safety, multiple environmental effects, and traffic of large, heavy motorhomes on our narrow, curved streets already in disrepair. It is a small plot for what is proposed and part of it is in a flood plain. Zoning was fairly recently changed to Agricultural designation to allow a couple of horses. It was previously zoned for Residential. I traveled for years in an RV, my dad manages a continually growing RV storage facility in Texas, and close relatives sold their house to travel full time in a motorhome. I like RVs but this is a terrible and inappropriate location for an RV park! It is an open field surrounded by many private homes, a church, bridal chapel, pediatric therapy center, business offices, and is a very short walk to an elementary school. There is no benefit to the surrounding community and we do not want an RV Park in our neighborhood.
