The city officials remain silent regarding our concerns about the rezoning at Lake Joy Road. Call the Mayor’s office today and demand they stop this commercial push. Post the link to this petition on your Facebook page so the rest of Perry sees exactly what is happening to our neighborhood.

The momentum behind this fight has shifted the conversation at City Hall and forced them to take notice. Post this link to your neighborhood Facebook page and email your city representative to demand they protect our residential zoning.

By zoning this area as commercial it would negatively effect our property values, cause an increased risk of crime and violence, pose a potential increase in traffic and accidents at this intersection, and of course the potential of enviromental pollution to our neighborhood and surrounding homes. I am STRONGLY OPPOSED to this rezoning. I WILL remember (at election time) the city officials that oppose our efforts to block rezoning.
I am against the rezoning of this property. The lot is completely usable as residential (as there are already homes that back up to Lake Joy and Sandefur); using the lack of upkeep on the house as an excuse to turn it commercial is not the way to go about using this lot to it's full potential.
That corner lot perfectly fine like it is. There is to many stores an wat not up the road being built. Leave with little piece of normal living alone.
This is a residential neighborhood and too close for a commercial property, my concerns being safety, traffic, and noise.
Against rezoning and against a commercial property in our neighborhood.
Our whole subdivision only has two outlets and they are at the corner of Sandefur and lake Joy. The traffic there would be congested at best,
Please keep commercial property away from our quiet neighborhood!

NO to Rezoning! This property is next door to my home. I have two young boys, ages 7 and 3, and the thought of this property becoming a convenience store or any other commerical property is a terrifying prospect. I am worried about the increase in crime such a business would bring into our community.
