Background

Limekiln Wood estate consisting of 162 Houses on the Dublin Rd in Navan which currently has 2 entrances to the estate,

·          On the Dublin Rd at Limekiln Hill where the residents of phase 1 enter via Limekiln Hall estate.

·          On the Trim Rd where the residents of phase 2 & 3 enter from the Trim rd at Beaufort College.

·          2 houses numbers 85 & 86 have been omitted from the estate, construction of these 2 house is yet to be provided for and this is due to the temporary entrance on the Trim Rd.

The temporary entrance was agreed by Meath County Council & An Bord Pleanla to facilitate the construction traffic for the building of phase 2 & 3; this is to be removed along with the bollards (that divide the estate between phase 1 and phase 2 &3) on the completion of the link road N3 / R161.

Petition

We the undersigned residents of Limekiln Wood hereby petition Meath County Council and Cusack Homes to follow through in delivering the official Dublin Road Entrance to this estate as outlined in the planning permission 99 / 2018.

The residents bought their homes in good faith from developers Cusack Homes in the belief that the entrance to the Dublin Road would be provided with the building of the R161 Road connecting the Dublin Road to the Trim Road.

The residents of the estate have waited up to 10 years (in phase 1) and almost 6 years (in phase 2&3) for the official entrance of the estate to be provided.

We the residents of Limekiln Wood now urge both Meath County Council and Cusack Homes to work in partnership in providing the Dublin Rd entrance to the estate without further delay and as a lasting solution to the problem they have jointly created and only they can resolve for the residents of this estate.

Updates

August 10, 2010

The council is still reviewing our proposal for the Dublin Road entrance. I am pushing for a formal response before meeting with local representatives.

The momentum is building fast. It is clear that Limekiln Wood residents are united on this.
