Residents we are requesting your signature on our petition to have our trees pruned in the estate.
Despite numerous requests for the council to prune the trees throughout the estate no such work has been carried out.
Since the lighting in the estate has been changed within the last year the estate has become considerably darker.
As we have received numerous requests to have the trees pruned due to darkness throughout the estate we hope that providing the council with a large number of signatures we may get a date for the work to be carried out.

The council thinks they can keep ignoring the darkness in Orlagh Grove but this surge of support proves they are wrong. We are finally building the pressure needed to force them to stop stalling and start pruning.

My sitting room is very dark due to tthe tree outside needing pruning. It has had plastic stuck in it for 2 years which is too high to reach. They are beautiful trees. Please prune not fell.

Moved into Orlagh in 2009. Contacted SDCC in 2011 and enquired about pruning the trees. Offered to do it myself but was told No and was advised that they are done every 2 years. It's now late 2017 and it has never happened. PLEASE PRUNE TREES IN ORLAGH ESTATE

The combination of inadequate lighting and tree coverage is a recipe for disaster. Quite apart from the human cost of a serious accident, the clever economic cost from the Councils perspective is to avoid costly claims and have the trees pruned

Tree outside No.31 Orlagh Grove, not suitable for housing estate as it grows to high it has made the street light redundant and should be cut down. I believe there should be a tinning out of tree's as they are too dense in some areas of estate.

Am concerned about the darkness due to trees outside my garden blocking the street light. I had an attempted burglary a few months ago that damaged my back door and am nervous about a reoccurrence. Geraldine Roche

The tree outside 5 Orlagh Wood need to be removed. It is damaging the footpath, manhole and has caused a leak from the grass verge. This was highlighted to the council, but they sent a representative out on a rainy day, so couldn't see it.
