Signatures of the residents of Mount Eagles development to help enforce the Article 40 agreement to open the Mount Eagles/ Lagmore Glen link road. It is recognised that the Antrim Construction Company (though 15 years too late) has recently carried out remedial works to facilitate the opening of this link Road. Currently there is an electric box and several ramps to be installed adjacent to Mount Eagles Mews.
Many residents have complained about the inaccessibility of exiting and entering Lagmore especially with the Belfast Rapid Transit works and severe bad weather. It is unacceptable that there is only one entrance/ exit for size of the population, with no contingency in the event of an emergency; meaning residents would be unable to leave their homes. This situation can no longer continue. Every morning cars are backed up from the Stewartstown Road right up to Mount Eagles. This congestion is causing major delays and hardship for local residents. It is imperative that this issue is resolved as soon as possible!

I just looked at the screen and realized we hit two hundred and fifty signatures which is actually insane because just yesterday I was sitting in that traffic line on Stewartstown Road wondering if anyone else felt as trapped as I did. It is wild to think about how many people are actually fed up with this same mess and I am genuinely so grateful that so many of you jumped on board to push for this road to finally open.

After living here ten years suffering through traffic, being late for work and my son late for school, we definitely need access to another entrance/exit!
It is staggering after all these years with the size of the area growing that there is one way in and out of Mount Eagles. Sharing the same exit as Lagmore View, White Rise and top of Lagmore is just become farcical and an unwanted nuisance. We should have 3 exits; current Lagmore, Lagmore Glen link road and Barnfield Road exit.
It’s a total disgrace that lagmore as one exit, I totally understand people not wanting buses going through but local people need excess
Second entrance urgently needed due to health and safety issues. We’re told there’s no money for anything. They have already put funds into developing this road to postpone it is wasting our tax payers money
I live in Mount Eagles Way and the lack of a second means of entering or exiting the development is unacceptable. Should there be any large scale incident in the area there would be no way to safely leave the development.

Keep it closed we don’t want all the traffic flying down the road kids play out and it will take their play away focus on the barnfield road or colinglen road the builders of mount eagles should have sorted it when building
