Hello,
Last year our park suffered from some vandalism and there has been a significant uptick in littering and trash left around the playground. I would like to petition the Town Board to have a light installed at the park to deter future acts. The estimated annual cost to the Town for this light would be ~$92/year.
I will work with the Town Board and the Parks Department to ensure the lighting is not invasive to nearby homes, but helps keep the park safe and clean for all families to enjoy. I would also like to get our sign re-painted, or replaced if necessary.

Hi Mario, there are a variety of reasons why we can't put a solar panel directly on the pole, however the Town already has two small solar arrays to help offset the cost of our electrical usage (behind Town Hall, and at the Highway Garage). There are also plans underway to build a solar farm in the northern parts of Clay to offset a significant portion of our annual electrical consumption.
Absolutely. Lighting is vital to prevent vandalism. Isn’t it sad that vandalism is being done presumably by residents from our community ?

There sound be a way to better light the park without disturbing the surrounding homes. Driving by the park at night is tough to see even people walking because it is so dark.
