Since the sun sets at 4:30pm in the fall and winter, the park ends up being dark and unsafe for many hours every day.
The solution is easy and cheap: If we could fix the burned-out lamppost (next to the baby playground) and add a couple more lampposts, the problem would be solved completely!

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people joined in to say that our park deserves better lighting. None of this would be happening without the neighbors who stopped to care about the safety of our playground.

its so sketchy walking the dog through there when it gets dark at 4pm. really need better lights.
Good idea. The park is unusable for half the year right now.
