why why why build on greenbelt land when there are so many brown sites that could be used.there are so many unsightly derelict site in and around the town..there is the land by tescos the land by the fire station on chester road land by the canal bridge on buxton road to name a few.
We as a family enjoy and admire this landscape on a daily basis, please do not destroy the beautiful area in which my children are lucky enough to grow up in. We also do not need any more traffic in the area and the schools are already full enough. Develop brown field sites NOW.
Macclesfield is at a greater disadvantage by being the only town or parish in the whole of Cheshire East Council area to have no local council to look out for local interests. Those who live, work and own businesses in the town should not trust CEC to be the best guardian of their interests.
This is a vital green, open outlook on our town - an important shared leisure space for everyone and also for nature and wildlife - and must be protected and preserved for present and future generations of Maxonians. I oppose the development plans.
This area is not only green belt land but has been designated as part of the Peak Park Fringe. No Exceptional circumstances have been put forward to move the Green Belt Boundary. It is a major part of the Macclesfield Green Lung
when will our greenbelt be left alone for people to enjoy the nature and beauty of the site.
There are many brownfield eyesores in Macclesfield that should be developed be fore any more greenfield sites are exploited

Greenbelt should not be used for development unless there are “exceptional circumstances". There are no exceptional circumstance here – rather the opposite – the area east of Fence Avenue is beautiful farmland near the centre of the town and should be preserved as such.
